West Haven Sports Club
West Haven Sports Club

The West Haven Sports Club began in 2007 after a great response to a Pitch, Hit and Run competition sponsored by Pepsi. Out of that cometition grew two baseball teams for 30 youth participants. Their interest led to an effort to "take back" the baseball diamond where community youth had lost lives on a field underutilized for many years. The West Haven Sports Club brought baseball back to the community after 40 years of absence. Baseball was a hit!
Since then, the Sports Club has expanded to serve more than 400 youth annually. In addition to baseball, we now offer softball, boxing and basketball as well as special events that include archery and swimming.
The Sports Club uses sports as a vehicle to build self-esteem, conifdence and provide life-skills training through mentoring.
