Our flag football league is off and running
Our new flag football league began recently with a lot of enthusiasm! We have 8 teams in total and kids range from 5th to 8th grade. About 80 kids in total. There are two games every Monday and Wednesday at 3 & 4 o'clock. Meet Tony McDaniel.
An 8th grader out of Victor Herbert Elementary School who is emerging as one of best student athletes participating in the West Haven Sports Club Pre-Season Flag Football League.
What is your favorite position you like to play in flag football?
Tony – Quarterback because I can control the team offense.
When you out there on the field, what are some things that go through your mind?
Tony – Take my time and don’t throw a turnover.
How are things working out so far in the class room?
Tony – Pretty good so far I’m working on A’s and B’s in all my classes.

Tell me some things you are doing to prepare for High School?
Tony – I study the game to see how to change directions
when bigger players are coming your way.
I study my opponents too.
Do you plan on playing High School sports?
Tony – Yeah……basketball and football.
What is your favorite restaurant?
Tony – Home Run Inn

Tony – Lebron VII

Tony – Lil Wayne
Best soft drink?
Tony – Fruit punch is my favorite
Best athlete in sports?
Tony – In basketball it’s Derrick Rose and in Football it’s Devin Hester.
