Crane Tech Prep Common School

About
Crane offers a traditional high school curriculum through the Math, Science and Technology Academy (MSTA). All programs promote critical thinking and problem solving and encourage further education, preparation for employment, and future careers. Students choose among five Education To Careers (ETC) clusters, all of which are designed to accelerate student achievement. Crane is one of six Chicago public high schools participating in the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation's High School Initiative, that provides funding for programs such as the school's 52-station technology lab. ETC clusters include career awareness, medical and health services, culinary arts, performing arts, and metropolitan studies. Honors-level courses are available to qualified students. Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered in English language and composition, environmental science, statistics, and U.S. history.
