Second Chance Thrift

Second Chance Thrift has everything imaginable. Kitchenware, beds, sofas, cabinets, luggage, blankets/pillows, lamps, electronics, books, men’s/women’s clothing, artwork, purses and clothing accessories, to name a few items.

These have indeed been busy times for the thrift store, and it’s not just because of the Father’s Day Special (this place was bumping on the day of the review!). The store’s normally low prices have been reduced even lower to help reach Second Chance's core mission of reaching those in most need during these tough economic times. So whether you go to thrift stores because you love them or you need them, Second Chance Thrift has a lot to offer.

The store has three dedicated staff members as well. Can’t find what you are looking for? Talk to Kevin (store manager) and he’ll keep an eye out and call you when the item comes in stock. “Mrs. Warren was looking for a recliner one day, but there weren’t any in stock”, explained Kevin, “so I put her request on the list and gave her a call as soon as one fitting her description arrived. Mrs. Warren had her recliner as soon as it arrived”.

The thrift store is dependent upon volunteers in order to help maintain its current inventory and fully operate. During the day of the review, there were ten volunteers and they were all very busy for the Father’s Day Sale. Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to call Kevin at (312) 997-2222 ext 221
