West Haven Mural Project

Damon Lamar Reed, well known Chicago artist and muralist, will be instructing 15 local students to repaint the community mural currently displayed on the outside wall of Victor Herbert Elementary School, adjacent to Touhy Herbert Park Sponsored by After School Matters and Near West Side CDC this summer project will include local students ages 14 to 18 interested in art and wanting will learn key components of mural painting. A stipend will be paid to each student that consistently attends this 6 week project (4 days a week/4 hrs a day) June 29 to early August.
